
Dr Adam Harrison B.Sc (Hons) MB BS MRCGP LL.B (Hons) Barrister
Founder, Dr A M Harrison Coaching and Training Ltd. (UK) Experienced Leadership Coach, Creator and Host of the 'Inspiring Women Leaders' podcast, former Medical Director, ex-GP and qualified Barrister-at-Law, who now coaches and trains in the wellbeing and leadership spaces.
About this speaker
Adam is a former doctor (surgeon turned GP) who practised clinically from 2000-2019, when he moved with his family to Darwin, Australia, for his wife’s Maxillofacial Surgery Fellowship.
He is also a qualified Barrister-at-Law and a certified Life, Leadership and Executive Coach who, as a result of being on the receiving end of workplace bullying several times when he worked as a junior doctor, has an interest in confidence and mindset coaching for professionals who have also been the targets of workplace bullies. More recently he has been involved in helping support the perpetrators of workplace bullying with their reflections and rehabilitation.
As a former medical director, Adam also trains leaders of organisations develop kind leadership cultures based on the compassionate, servant, inclusive and relational leadership model paradigms.
The underpinning philosophy to both his workplace bullying and detoxifying leadership cultures work, is mental and physical wellbeing, so he does a lot of work in that arena too, especially with professionals who are burning out. Further to this, Adam creates and runs wellbeing workshops for organisations in order to help promote and embed wellbeing cultures in workplaces.
He strongly believes in doing work aligned with his core values (honesty, justice, gratitude, love and humour) and feels that shines through in his work.
Adam has also been a podcaster since May 2022 when he created and launched the show ‘Inspiring Women Leaders’ (https://healthpodcastnetwork.com/show/inspiring-women-leaders).
He moved to Tauranga in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, in January 2024, where he lives with his wife and their two young daughters.
